Oh, my goodness, I was just browsing the web looking for a crochet pattern, you know the one, that darned bluebird potholder that still eludes me...darn. Anyway, I came upon a site called Bev's Country Cottage. If you have scrap yarn and know how to knit or crochet there is a lady by the name of Laura who works for her local SPCA Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Group. Those good volunteers need baby bird and baby bunny nests for the little darlings that come into rescue without a mommy to take care of them. These nests are tiny and you could make oodles of them in just a couple of hours. Please, if you have it in your heart, go over to Bev's Country Cottage. You will find the links you need to the patterns and also to the wonderful people who care for these little guys who need tiny beds for their itty-bitty babies.
Or, I just betcha if you contacted your local agency, they may be able to direct you to someone in your area who cares for these little orphans. Spring is in the air and with it tiny babies who get separated from their mommies. We can't find their mommies but we sure could make their start in life a lot easier with a comfy bed. Thanks to everyone who reads this and will help.

Oh, these pictures are so precious. I wish I could crochet! A friend at church keeps offering - maybe if I could just learn how to do these.

oh Mimi! How precious! I am just learning to crochet...this inspires me to learn how to make these for those little babies!
Hope you're having a great week!
Hugs,

Oh my goodness...look at all those little precious babies...they look so sweet in the knit nests too, keeping warm.
I will have to check it out...very interesting and wonderful that people help out like that..

I don't crochet Mimi but this is such a beautiful post.
I would take those bunnies in a flash. We also rescue bunnies..
Sheba is home from the vet yesterday. She seems to have a little cold but surely is not affected from her surgery. She wants out and she's NOT going.
Kat also had all her vaccines.
The snow is finally melting away. A couple more days of sunshine and I think it will be over.
Come and visit, I have a cute little post with fake bunnies.
Love Claudie
xoxo
