It's cold. It's raining. Visions of Christmas dance in my head! It's Pink Saturday!

It was cold and raining outside all day today. The weather was so bad that I'd keep watch out my window and whenever it let up a bit, I'd rush the dogs outside to do a little wee and then get them right back into the house. I think the weather today made me think of fall and with fall comes the holidays. With the holidays comes crafts and making gifts and decorations. So today, you are going to see memories of Christmas' past!
The wreath above was inspired by a photo I saw in a magazine ages ago and clipped out, shoving it into the drawer where all of my inspirations sit until they either die and go away or the come to life when I have the time to devote to creation. Everything you see on the wreath was collected after the holidays and tucked away until the following year when I felt like crafting for Christmas. I just love getting things at huge discounts and those decorations were marked down to the max.

This little gem is one of my 50 cent yard sale goodies that I spray painted and then added some silk roses, painting over them, too. I sold this on eBay a couple of years ago but have since made a couple for my home that are in my windows at Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter. Pink goes with everything, yes, it does!

Lastly, are two little outfits I made for my grand-daughter's doll. Now, she doesn't have these yet because there is more layette that needs to be made. This little doll and oodles of clothes are going to be her gift from her Mimi this year. The little doll is only 5" long. Just a teeny, tiny, cutie patootie. A lot like Rachel Elizabeth!
Well, there you have my PINK SATURDAY offering this week. Not quite what I had originally planned but the weather gave me the warm fuzzies all cuddled up in the house and my thoughts drifted to sparkling trees, glistening snow and warm cookies with cocoa! Be sure to travel over to Beverly's place to get the blog addys of all the creative and wonderful women who participate each week in this pinkest of events!

PS: Last week Beverly asked about why so many participants didn't get comments. I hate to be a party-pooper but one beef I have that is sending me to the boiling point is taking my time to type in code and then have a screen pop up telling me that my comment is going to need approval. Please, do one or the other. Taking my time to enter code only to find out that you need to look at it too is REDUNDANT.

Poor Mimi. You've had more than your share of rain this summer. We haven't had any but the weather man said, maybe tomorrow. So send some my way and have a great pink weekend!

Hi Mimi..
First, your pinks are just gorgeous. The wreath is to die for..and the baby doll..*sighs, I wish she was mine.
And second,I think I've set my blog to the way you are driven to distraction. I will go check that now,and if it is I will change it, cause like you..it is frustrating and time consuming.
Happy Pinks..have a great day..

Hello Mimi, Happy Pink Saturday, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment. I love coming to your blog, I usually hit all your blogs before I find the one with Pink Saturday. LOL. At least I get to see Freyja & Scout so that made my day!
So sorry your getting rain and cold again, we've had rain on and off but it's been soooo hot, I won't complain because I really don't want to see winter come. Your pinks this week are just beautiful, I especially love the candles, so pretty and soft. Wreath and doll clothes are pretty too!
Have a great week,
Bless you, Shirl

Your pinks are just great!!! I agree with you comment about the doing both thing. I also think it's easier for my computer to load if the word verify is embedded in the comment Sometimes I close after I comment and don't wait for it to load a word verify.

You do have your fair share of nasty weather! To many gray days are not a good thing. I have had an exceptionally mild summer so far until last week and it's decided to heat up and act like SUMMER..LOL

Thanks so much for dropping by for a visit. I'm always happy to see your comments. :0)

I love the wreath you made and the clothing you are making for the tiny doll are just precious as is the doll herself. :0) What a luck

I enjoyed all your pinks today, but the wreath was my favorite. Wish you could send me some of that rain. We have nothing but hot, dry days. It is depressing when the weather is gloomy so much. I trust you will soon have your life filled with lots of bright, sunny days. Hang in there.

Oh MiMi!
I am so sorry it is still raining there. Can you bottle some up and send it to Phoenix? I am so sick of the heat. It was still 106 degrees today, and still 102 on the back porch this evening. Hot and muggy. We might get a few drops of rain, MIGHT! I'll believe that when I see it. I love the rain but I can't remember the last time I even smelled it. Love the pink candelabra, I am going to give me a pink coating too. That baby is just precious. Won't your little grand daughter love thos outfits with her doll baby? Thanks for sharing sweetie. Happy Pink Saturday. Please stop by and say hi. Country Hugs, Sherry

Mimi,

You can shove some of that rain over here to California. I can shove some of the sun over to you. LOL! I hear you on the codes. That is why I don't have that feature on mine. I am so glad you visited me today. Also our niece is due in September with a girl. The name she chose.....Rachel Elizabeth.

You are so pretty in pink....I love the wreath, it is soft and lovely.
I don't live in California. But there are already so many animals being put down because people can hardly feed them much less pay medical bills that are getting higher all the time...tax :)
I live in Idaho and we pay tax for all food products. 6 cents on the dollar. It's not fun..
Hugs, Mary
I have a cat and two dogs.

Thanks for sharing your pinks this week.
My Nana used to make me little knitted outfits for my Sindy/Barbie doll back in the 1970s. They were always the best outfits.

Sorry if the word verification and approval are annoying but I find it easier for me to keep track of who's left a comment and where so I can answer.

Have a fab pink week :)
