I've become an obsessive "peeping blogger" and I just...can't...stop myself!

My gosh, this has to stop...it just has to stop. My brain is on sweet, cute, pastel, gorgeous, homemade, craft, precious OVERLOAD! I sit down in the morning after feeding my dogs and cats (thank goodness I still do that), boot up my laptop and get lost in the world of blogs! And, I mean LOST! I travel from blog to blog to blog looking at this pretty room and checking out that delicious recipe and noting how this blogger did that craft and making notes in my head about design, color and gardening. One blog runs into the next blog and I can't remember where I began or why! My mind runs in circles, twirling this way and that way...my tummy gets upset and I get nervous when I can't remember if I bookmarked what I just read that I thought would save the world, or at least make it cuter and sweeter and more adorable.

Have I become an obsessive compulsive blog peeper? Are there enough hours in the day for me to see it all, even if I don't sleep, or eat, or answer the phone? It's bad enough that I hold my "wee" until I can't stand it anymore and walk hunched over to my first floor powder room all cramped up. This just has to stop! I've got my notebook and computer and index cards loaded with ideas that will keep me busy for the next fifty years.
(Note to self: take vitamins so you can live for another fifty years).

Right after this post I am shutting down my laptop, putting it in its case and walking away. I have to learn to walk and to talk and to think and to cook all over again. My brain has turned into frilly, fluffy, soft, cuddly, sweet, darling pudding!

Wait, I think I just heard the ping that tells me another comment just posted to my latest blog entry. I'll read that and then shut down the laptop...really, honest, I will...I will...sigh. Right after I limp into the powder room...I...really...have...to...go!

OOOO, girlfriend...I am in that same huntched over position, on my way to the bathroom...just as soon as I take a peek at more of YOUR cute blog..I LOVE YOUR BACKGROUND, by the way.
Oh, yes...I get so lost in my blogging that I will look up and it is dinner time and I've not done one cryin' thing but BLOG.
I, too, have GOT to get a hold of myself...Then, of all things, THE NESTER has over a hundred short mini makeovers and I just HAVE to see them...and all that PINK left from Sat. and now, it is almost BLUE MONDAY....oh, my...what's a girl to do....??? Please let me know!!
hugs and smiles, bj

That happens to me, too. I have had to set the kitchen timer and limit my blogging time so that other things get done around the house.

Mimi, at least you have a laptop & can move around the house. I have a PC & I'm stuck in our little office. I really need to stop reading blogs & clean out & redecorate the office... oh well... ☺

Oh Mimi how I understand! As soon as I open my eyes in the morning I'm thinking about...what else but blogging! Only a blogger understands another blogger!! Maybe there is a 12 step program for us, Esther

Geez, I just about let my "held too long" wee go reading your post! Bad, Mimi, bad!

I sure understand where you are coming from. I do think blogging has improved my life, though, good recipes, good friends and ideas that help me make life here at Lakewood Manor all that more enjoyable!

You speak for me - I didn't accomplish one cotton-pickin' thing yesterday. When I looked up it was 4:30! My butt was so tired from sitting on my chair....it's easy to do. Today I made myself go shopping. A little retail therapy never hurt anyone, right? (But I remembered to bring my camera along - Hey that could work for Pink Saturday or Blue Monday....always got to think about the blog -LOL). ~ Robyn

Haha, Mimi! I'm afraid to say it never ends!! I've been on here for only 6 months and I'm still finding new blogs to look at. My "following list" has maxed out at following 200 blogs! Eeeek. I only do it so I don't forget about them but it got out of control. LOL! Welcome to our world. Thanks for stopping by my place!! I'll be back!!

That is so funny! Great minds think alike!

Hey at least our addiction is fairly harmless. Aside from not getting our work done.

Now I must really check out your blog. Back to my old ways.

Hello. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving your comment. I started it for our furkids..it has evolved...but not much. Between pet blogs and birthday blogs, I've just about covered it. I'm not crafty, don't cook or sew; but, I love to visit blogs of crafty people! Your post speaks so well of how we spend our time...going from blog to blog...you are just too funny!

Hi Mimi! I know exactly what you mean. I keep finding new and interesting blogs. My blog list keeps growing and growing. Maybe we need a 12 step program. LOL.

This is so funny, and I can really relate. It's so easy to get hooked on blogging. You put it in such a cute way. Welcome to the obsessive compulsive world of blogging. I needed this laugh this morning. I got behind on my visiting/commenting because we had company for a few days. I'm trying to get caught up. I may have to make a trip to the powder room soon.

Your post and all the comments cracked me up. First thing I do in the morning is flip on the computer. I have to take a water pill these days and I take it as soon as I wake up. You know how many interuptions that is in the morning to go pee???? A lot. But that way most of the peeing is out of the way before I go to work. Don't want to get stuck in traffic needing to pee. Now that is bad. Then when I go over the speed bumps in the parking lot at work, another bad. Then it is mad dash inside to the ladies room. But I love following blogs. Recently came across a soup recipe I did not write down. Boy what a search to figure out whose blog I saw that one on. I did find it by the way. Have fun blogging.

Sweet Mimi, This post is adorable...you need to email it to Claudie from "Bubblin Over" if she hasn't seen it yet... She and I were just talking about this very thing last night. The blog peepin has got us too...and we're trying to figure out how to back it up. ;) This is way too funny, but very true... We'll get this under control, I'm sure! ;) ~CC Catherine (ping, ping) ;) Couldn't resist!
