Follow me into my pretty, pink potty on this Pink Saturday morning!

Several people were surprised last Pink Saturday to find out that I had a pink television in my kitchen. Well, if you liked that, I wonder what you're gonna think about the pink toilet seat and pink clock in my downstairs powder room. The clock was made nearly 40 years ago by an elderly friend of mine. When she found out that I loved pink, she insisted that I accept it as a gift. I have to tell you, it is one of my most precious items, not because it's pink, but because of who gave it to me.

This pink quilt is hand-pieced with the tiniest of stitches and then machine quilted. It is hanging on my dining room wall next to the chair I generally sit in when I am reading or doing hand-work. I'm not sure how old it is...all I know is that I love it to bits. One day when I was browsing eBay this gem popped up on my screen with not one bid. I was able to get it for under ten dollars. Every now and then you can find something for a steal, literally. That doesn't happen often for me, but when it does I feel as though little fairies flew over my head and blessed me.

Not entirely pink but mostly pink and something that I just love. I have this jar filled with little Tootsie Pops. The filled candy dish/whatever dish sits on my kitchen counter for the grandkids, and the grown kids, who stop by the house. These pops are the tiny/midget ones so I don't spoil appetites for the dinner mommy has prepared.

Of course, the mommies enjoy these, too, along with the daddies. Little people always leave my home with one in hand and one in a jacket pocket for later.

I have no idea why I didn't share this on Valentine's Day Pink Saturday but it just slipped my mind. The little heart hangs on a hallway door knob and was made by braiding fabric scraps. I love to hang things on my door knobs...don't ask me why...just do! I think it adds a special touch to a space when you least expect it.

I went thrifting this afternoon at my local Goodwill Store and found some of the sweetest goodies for Easter and of course, most of them are pink. I'll be sharing those with all of you next week and also something special that I made a few years' back that I wouldn't part with for a million bucks...well, maybe a million, but not a hundred!

Be sure to stop by Beverly's at How Sweet the Sound to visit all the great blogs this Pink Saturday. You just never know from week to week what the ladies have decided to share. Such fun!

OK MIMI that toilet sit is one of a kind for sure.
I'm listening to my song...I'm hooked on a feeling ...
I love it.
As for "if my walls could talk" they would say come in at your own risk, mind the dogs and the cats they come first. Now find another sit. The floor is clean.lol
MIMI I would love to send you one of my little hot pink chicks just because I really like you allot and your a friend of our fur babies in need.
Send me your address.
Happy PS

That pink toilet seat clock may just be one of the best things I've ever seen at any time anywhere. LOL. Terrific!

The watercolor quilt is so sweet! I can't fathom somebody going to the trouble of hand-piecing a quilt and then machine quilting it!

Happy Pink Saturday!

I remember when bathrooms were pink, green, blue, or yellow so a pink toilet seat wouldn't be at all unusual. However, one that has been made into a clock even then--would be thought unusual. lol

Mimi,
You are right. The bird nest tutorial is not there.! I have no idea where it went. Wouldn't i have had to delete it for it to be gone? And I didn't. I don't have it anywhere else, but i do have my original notes, messy as they are.
I will try to get it organized and put it on again. I'm just wondering how many other things are not there. I have not deleted anything from my blogs.
(It was at the end of January, but i checked and it is not there!!)
Oh so sad is right.

Thanks for telling me.

Sit-N-Chat said...

OK Mimi. You mentioned eating with me on my pink post... And that would be a treat for me! But your pretty pink post is just too pretty to use... :>

Mimi,
Ir's me again.

I found the tutorial on making the bird nests! Seriously, it was not there when i looked either! I was sick.

Have posted on the Treasures site about where it is.

I am sooo relieved!!!

Blessings Mimi,

Barbara Jean

PS love your quilt and little braided heart. That great deal on the quilt almost makes me want to spend time on ebay. Oh, can't do that. It would interfere with my blogging time. =0)

Hello dear,
I just loved the toilet seat...it's so girly and fun! The clock is probably the cutest thing I've ever seen!

I was at Goodwill today and I saw what I thought was something like the teacup and saucer but alas, they were larger and the cup was attached to the saucer and a candle was in it. I was disappointed....I'll continue the search!
