I've got a violin & I'M PLAYING IT! Now, give me some PITY!

I just bet when I leave comments on your blogs that you think I'm a big whiny baby about the weather up where I live. I bet you think that I'm exaggerating or making something bigger than it is or worse than it is or more terrible than it is. Really? Well, here ya go. I took these photos on Saturday afternoon. Not Saturday months ago, Saturday YESTERDAY!

I live at the end of the world! Global warming? Come on up here and tell me about that☺(Yes, I know it's true.) Tell me how pretty the snow is and how you wish you had some for a white Christmas. Want some? Give me your address. I'll send you some!

Yesterday my son, Jeff, and I planted my adorable, pink pussy willow. Today, I had to cover my precious baby bush up with a blankie to keep it warm and to keep the snowflakes off its leaves. I had to put teeny, tiny ear muffs on the little catkins so they wouldn't freeze. My gosh, those little guys were meowing so hard and pitiful wanting to come in the house and I had to just walk away knowing that they had to stay put for their own good.

The leaves are only half open on the trees. My lilacs are just now producing leaves. This year is horrible, just horrible. I'm sitting here with a little space heater at my feet...what a way to live☺

OK, I feel better now...sigh. I'm going to put a nice roast in the oven with baby potatoes and carrots. In a little while the aroma will be filling the first floor of my home and I'll be feeling all snug as a bug in a rug. Just like Christmas, ya know☺

So, as you sit there on your patio, sipping your lemonade, sniffing the posies from the bouquet you just picked from your blooming garden, remember...there are people "out there" who still have snow and if you aren't careful...you just might end up with a snowball tossed right into your little, bloggy yard!☺

Mimi, I can just picture your pink pussy willows with their little earmuffs on. How cute but I do hope they will be ok. Your home will be lovely and cosy with the homely smell of a lovely roast cooking!! Keep warm.

Hello Mimi,

I'm one of those bloggers that you'll never hear/read comments of wishing for snow. I wish for it to be 75 degrees year round. :)
You can keep your snow and whine all you need to whine. I would be doing the same.

Mimi: Stopping by for PS and read this. NOOOOO...it can't be. We usually get what you have next day. Plus, I'm the champion whiner about my location and now I have competition. At least this is not my real home, and once we can get my husband a different job, we are out of HERE! And, yes, all those pretty decks and yards of flowers make me dream of warmer climates. I will not even put flowers out until we return in June because we had a hard frost several days last week.

I do spend my days dreaming of Florida and would even be happy to return to Texas!

So, Happy Pink Saturday and PLEASE keep your snow! :-)

I'll be thinking of you while I mow the lawn AGAIN this week with the sweat pouring down my face. See, if you were down here you could be having all this fun too!

I'm sorry you're having weather you hate. So are we - except to the other extreme. It's in the mid to high 90's here and I don't do heat! Our normal temperature swing is about 35 degrees from winter to summer - we're spoiled. So, send a little of your cold our way, we'll send a little heat your way and somewhere we should get some perfect weather!!

Hi Mimi!

Oh my! I am so glad our snow days are gone until Dec! But it is so pretty! Ha, easy to say when it's in someone else's yard. ;) we're in spring--which means spring rains and flooding. Bring on the sunshine!

Hang in there! Surely it will be sunny and warm soon I hope for you. :)

Hugs,
Sheri

Send some of your cold puleeeeze! It was around 100 here today. I'd LOVE a snowball tossed in my yard but it would melt before it hit the ground!

Oh dear so dreary for you. Keep dreaming of warm days! Happy belated Pink Saturday! Loved seeing the pink pussy willow plant! I don't believe they will grow in our heat.

I can't believe it snowed!! But then again it's Michigan... :-)
It was so cool this past weekend in Gaylord.

You have snow - unbelievable - and we're having a heat wave with temperatures over 100. The plants don't like the sudden changes between cool and super hot here either. UGH!

Hugs! ♥ Diane

Soory it's snowing. I on the other hand am in NO hurry for the heat. Here in the south east we get so humid it's just merserable and I'm ok with a few cool rainy days we have left! Enjoy your day anyway!

Oh! you poor thing! I don't think you're a whiny baby...I'd be whining, too...as a matter of fact I was, on Sunday...it was 65 but w/20mph winds...too chilly for mid May...but now I don't feel so bad...except for you...I suppose it wouldn't help for me to tell you that pretty soon you'll have some warmer weather...would it?!
Well...in the meantime, enjoy my deck...you're welcome anytime!
