“Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand - and melting like a snowflake.”

My Mother's Day gift to you...

My Mother is Always With Me

My mother is always with me.
She's the whisper of the leaves
as I walk down the street.
She's the smell of bleach
in my freshly laundered socks.
She's the cool hand on my brow
when I'm not feeling well.

My mother lives inside my laughter.
She's crystallized in every tear drop.
She's the place I came from
She's my first home.
She's the map that I follow
with every step that I take.

She's my first l♥ve
and my first heart♥break.
Nothing on earth can separate us.
Not time, not space,
Not even death
will ever separate me
from my mother.
I carry her inside of me.
~Author Unknown

For all of us who have mothers who live in Heaven and for all of us who believe that Heaven is in our mother's arms, I wish each and every mother, and mother-to-be, the happiest of days today surrounded by l♥ve. Whether through your womb, or through your h♥art by virtue of adoption, you were blessed by God when you took part in the creation of a human being.

Oh Mimi, I am sitting here crying over that wonderfully worded poem. I am one of those with her Mom in heaven now, but I love the part where it says that "heaven is in mother's arms". Amen to that. Even more then the poem itself, is what you wrote underneath of it! You are able to touch my heart with mere written words, and make me want to reach out to all other women today and hug them, for the simple fact that we share this wonderful title of "mother". Beautifully written post, dear friend. How I enjoy coming by each and every time to see what you have posted for us. Have a wonderful day, Debby

Beautiful words! Happy Mother's Day!!!

My favorite memory of my mother, when I was a kid, were her coffee kisses in the morning.

I like the poem you found, and I'm sorry you don't have your mom around anymore. I would have liked to have known her.

I think this would be a neat picture to enlarge and then colorize areas of it in shades of rose.

What a lovely post. I know Mother's day can bring some heartache to people as well as joy. I think your post clearly shares the heart of everyone who has had a mother that is no longer here. I hope your day was wonderful

Mimi that is a wonderful Mother's Day tribute. So touching...I would love to share this poetry with my Victorian Ladies group and wonder if you could email it to me or post it in comments on Miss Peach's bloggy? I feel so close to it somehow as I follow into my mother's footsteps more and more each day.
I am always charmed when I come to see you here...
Oh guess what I got for Mother's Day? A PINK garden hose that smells like roses!!!
Soft hugs, Karla & Miss Peach
